Overview

The Evo™ XTRM Series is a Point-to-Point (PtP) Ultra High Frequency radio that operates on 60 GHz and 70/80 Ghz frequency band. With the technology called AdaptPath™ and AdaptRate™, it provides the Evo™ XTRM Series stability in obtaining the highest performance. The Evo™ XTRM Series offers higher throughput, longer distances, superior reliability & faster ROI.

The Evo™ XTRM Series brings new state-of-the-art design innovations to V–band 60 GHz and E–band 70/80 GHz frequency segment, including PoE (Power over Ethernet) and field-selectable GigE interfaces that enable customers to choose any combination of copper, fiber or mixed configurations during installation.

The Evo™ XTRM Series is a Backhaul solution that support 1000 Mbps data rate in Full Duplex for 60 GHz unit and up to 6400 Mbps data rate in Full Duplex for 70/80 GHz unit. Evo™ XTRM Series comes in three models:

  • Evo™ XTRM–V
  • Evo™ XTRM–E
  • Evo™ XTRM–E3

Variants

Evo™ XTRM E

Ultra High Availability Wireless Backhaul Solution

As the mobile data from the end-user extremely increase together with the smart phones demanding for bigger bandwidth, the demand for newer technologies to deliver this bandwidth is even higher than before; operators are now looking for a backhaul solution that provides the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) that can meet tomorrow’s bandwidth demands.

Evo™ XTRM-E was designed to ease the pressure on backhaul connections and by combining advanced radio and modem capabilities with carrier-grade Ethernet features. Implementing BPSK modulation achieves improved link budget compared to high-QAM systems. Furthermore, incorporating AdaptRate™ technology achieves additional 10dB gain on the link budget during periods of inclement weather.

Evo™ XTRM-E provides comprehensive timing support required for 4G/LTE deployments, including Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588.v2 with hardware-based time stamping for one-step or two-step clocks. With low power consumption and PoE capability.

Evo™ XTRM-E Carrier Ethernet Services are provided through the use of an integrated low-latency switch supporting jumbo frames while including Quality of Service (QoS), VLAN support, Provider Bridge (Q-in-Q) along with Ethernet OAM management, compact and lightweight, zero- footprint all-outdoor solution.

Features

  • Carrier Ethernet services enabled via built-in low-latency switch
  • Interference-free operation enabling high-density deployments
  • FIPS-certified 256-bit AES Encryption provides the ultimate in data protection at full line rate gigabit speeds with minimal latency
  • Direct DC (-48v) or Optional Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • AdaptRate and AdaptPath functionality provides extenuation during intense rain
  • 1+0 Non-protected, 1+1 HSB fully redundant, or 2+0 link configurations
  • High Secure narrow beamwidth antennas
  • Zero-footprint ODU with low power consumption supports Power over Ethernet (PoE)
